And now with all that he's learned over the years, it might make him more frustrated than ever to still see something get realized differently than his vision. Doesn't help that the particular vision in question is the one that was made up on the fly at a lunch w a pretty girl. It's also not good that we all know that little piece of info.<BR/><BR/>In fact, I think it'd be better if everyone involved over there would just stop talking about it. There are no doubt similar problems behind the scenes of all our favorite shows, but we don't know every single detail and I think the viewing public is all the better for it. All it's done is make Dollhouse look messy and we're all scared. If they'd shut up they wouldn't have to do so much damage control.Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04234869195720609070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6561869413186077787.post-45883957596069468062008-11-11T04:06:00.000-05:002008-11-11T04:06:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6561869413186077787.post-440443750673945242008-11-10T23:43:00.000-05:002008-11-10T23:43:00.000-05:00"The real problem with the show, I think, isn't Fo..."The real problem with the show, I think, isn't Fox; it's Joss Whedon not being able to make the show that he imagines in his head, and getting so frustrated by that that he'd rather throw what he's done away and start again."<BR/><BR/>I can very much imagine this being the case. I mean, Whedon does have a history of being very frustrated at how his work ultimately turns out at the realisation stage (BtVS: The Movie, Alien Resurrection, etc.). It's easy to blame the other creators involved in each case, but really, a lot of it must also be due to the fact that Whedon's ideas aren't always the easiest ones to translate to screen. I mean, just think about how something like Buffy the Vampire Slayer looks on paper, for example; how much do you want to emphasise the horror, the comedy, the parody or the pastiche? It's questions like these that usually seem to mess up otherwise really good show/film ideas.Jayunderscorezerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16611897906121531154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6561869413186077787.post-87701735765726019652008-11-10T14:00:00.000-05:002008-11-10T14:00:00.000-05:00Well, Fox has finally commented on the worst fears...Well, Fox has finally commented on the worst fears of Whedon fans over "Dollhouse", and it may change people's minds about its fate.
