March Madness - The Hairpocalypse Elite Eight

Wow, this tournament (and month) is really flying by! If you're just joining us now, all month long hairdos from our favorite Whedonverse characters have been battling against one another for the title of "Most Hairpocalyptic." Now, here we are at the eight most bombastic, stupendous, apocalypse-worthy hairstyles of the Whedonverse, otherwise known as, The Elite Eight.

But before we get to that, let's recap the results from the Sweet Sixteen Round 2:

  • Angelus's 'stache and amazing long hair have been kicking ass all tourney long, so it's no surprise that he took down Giles' burnout 'do from "Band Candy".
  • Angel's wig takes another one down! This time, Buffy's caveman dreads from "Beer Bad" went into the audience to watch the rest of the games. Amazingly, it looks like it's going to be Angel vs. Angel in the Elite Eight round.
  • Cordy's teased out shag took the most votes of the entire round, beating River's "wet look" twists.
  • And finally Willow the White beat Buffy's S.1 bouffant at the last minute, having trailed behind all weekend long. Let's see if the witch has the power to out-shag Cordy. Get it? Get it? ugh.

This round will have 4 matches and will end Tuesday night at 11:59 PM EST.

By now, you know what to do. Vote below for the Whedonverse hair style that is so bad-ass (or just plain bad) that it would bring forth the apocalypse:

  1. I agree Kaaren, that Angel vote was the hardest one yet. I had to go with "Orpheus" because it just cracks me up every time. My new dream is a final match up between Angel (either one)and Cordy.

  4. Well, it looks like the 'stache is winning. It is a mighty fine one, so I get the popularity.
